Ruhr Wild Animal Farm

The great game hunter of his time Frank Buck, brought the animals back and they went through quarantine here. (some might remember the film from the early 1930's "Frank Buck's Bring Them Back Alive"). Most animals were brought in by ships in the twenties and thirties, they would be quarantined and rested here before shipping them to the zoos throughout the states. The farm was located in back of P.C. Richard's Parking Lot.  The above woman was Clara Vespermann who worked at the animal farm. Mrs Vespermann was married to the resident vetenarian Dr. Gustav Vespermann.
