1957 Fire on Greenpoint Avenue

This picture was easy to date, thanks to the Century's Bliss Theatre. It was showing Jerry Lewis's "The Delicate Delinquent", which was his first solo movie after his breakup with Dean Martin. This of course is Greenpoint Avenue between 44th Street and 45th Street. Sadly the beautiful Bliss theatre with all its Egyptian artwork and decorations are gone since it has been purchased by a religious group.
