Nelson's Hardware

A great shot inside Nelson's Hardware, shows how the old time store with the bins of nails, bolts, etc, when you bought them by they pound not in neat little packages. The man second from the right was Irving Weiner the owner (Artie's Dad - Nelson's Christmas Shoppe), left of him is his brother Bill. The rest of the people are employees. Note the sign above the counter, telling of their upcoming  move giving the location of where our Sunnyside library is now located. The store was named "Nelson'"from when one of their earlier locations which was on Nelson Avenue. (Now called 48th Avenue) Circa 1945)
