Taking a Break

This young worker Eleanor (Risi) Chibilek who was 17 years old back in 1943 was taking a break from her job at the Knickerbockers Laundry. Note the "V" sign for Victory over the door. The front of the Knickerbockers Laundry building was used a lot for picture taking for the men on leave, posing in their uniforms.
