The gentleman in the picture is Mr. Weigand who lived at 48th St. and Borden Avenue. This picture of Mr. Weigand was taken while he was visiting the Mc Gucken's farm, located at 42 Street & Laurel Hill Blvd. Every one who lived in the area at that time got there fresh milk from the farm. Although many farms were located throughout this area. Mc Gucken's was the last remaining farm at that time. With the arrival of the elevated train our community was fast developing housing in this area.
