Sunnyside Jewish Center  

 

A Conservative Synagogue serving the Jewish community in Sunnyside & Woodside for over 60 years. Sabbath and Holiday services are held in the Sanctuary located at 40=20 47th Avenue


Morning and evening prayer service are held in the David Keller Chapel on 43 Street. A "Minyon" - 10 Jewish men are necessary to conduct these services.
Sisterhood breakfast meetings with refreshments and entertainment is held on the first Sunday of every month at 10 AM in the ballroom on 42nd Street. There is a normal fee for non members.

Rabbi Albert conducts most interesting lectures on Thursday at 3:30 PM. All are welcome.  Hadassah ladies meet the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 1:00 pm (entrance 43rd street).  Jewish Woman International (JWI) meet the last Sunday of the month at 10:00 AM (Entrance 42nd Street)

Note: Sisterhood, Hadassah and JWI do not meet during July & August.
Nurse Martha of the Community Nursing Organization (CNO) is available on the 3rd Wednesday of the month from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM for its members.

We welcome Jewish men and woman to join us as Center and Sisterhood members.

We hold BINGO on Tuesday night, game begins at 7:15 PM and on Sunday night at 7:00 PM. Doors open at 5:00 PM. During the summer months there is BINGO only on Tuesday night at 7:00 PM, entrance is on 43rd Street.
